This post highlights the launch of AHPR’s new logo, commemorating 25 years of strategic public relations. I collaborated with a creative team on the logo’s development and created the visual and written content to share this milestone with our community.

Scorpion Creek Ranch Highlight
I created this post to spotlight Scorpion Creek Ranch, a nonprofit supporting youth experiencing homelessness. SCR hosted a community event to raise awareness and inspire action. AHPR is proud to support their mission.

Public Speaking & Leadership Workshop Highlight
I designed this post to highlight a workshop focused on public speaking and leadership from the Holden Center. The session covered key tips on how to become the best public speaker and leader one can be.

Here is a press release to encourage University of Oregon students to get the flu vaccine. For this class assignment, I applied my AP style expertise to craft an effective release for our campaign.

For Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum, I created a sponsorship form to encourage local businesses to sponsor underprivileged children for free summer camp access, focusing on community outreach and partnership building in McMinnville, OR.

For a writing course, I wrote a feature story about Noel Nash, the owner of the Chronicle Newspaper. Through this project, I enhanced my interviewing, writing, and storytelling skills to highlight the impact of this local newspaper.

In my Strategic Writing & Media Relations class, I wrote a news release on UO President Scholz receiving the Emerald Award for Leadership, applying strategic writing skills to create a professional and impactful piece.

Check out my video project from my Gateway to Media course. This 60-second story highlights Julia Garretson’s passion for paper-making while showcasing the creativity and storytelling skills I honed during my time in class.

In my Writing for Influence class, I created a fashion infographic illustrating the impact of fast fashion, showcasing my ability to present complex issues through visual storytelling.
